Rolling Stone: "We Have a Business that's Dying. Pretty soon there won't be any major record labels"

Update- Once restricted to the news-stand, Rollingstone.com has now posted this article free online. Pay my humble little advertisement-less blog no mind.

Update 2: Please don't assume that because I'm putting this up, I'm trying to call attention to the evils of piracy and making a call for sympathy for the noble Major Labels. I'm quite happy to see their monopoly smashed. The lawsuits of the RIAA are the final, desperate death throws of a wounded predator. They're going down, and Good riddance to them.

The music business is going down the tubes. Check these charts from Rolling Stone Magazine. Click the pictures to enlarge.

(I know what you're going to say- No, iTunes and other digital downloads do NOT compensate for this. Check the overall revenue in the second chart).
